The Canadian Soccer Association on March 13, 2020 suspended all sanctioned soccer activity in the country.
"In order to protect the safety of our participants and contribute to the global effort to curb the spread of the disease, the suspension of all soccer activity for the foreseeable future is crucial," added Dr. Andrew Pipe, chair of the Canada Soccer medicine committee.
Fusion coed soccer will also follow the recommendation and immediately suspended all games until further notice.
Update - Some leagues in Calgary has decided to return to play in Phase 2 with modified games including cohorts of 50 people. Alberta Soccer guidelines posted June 19 are linked below. Unfortunately, the risk to reward ratio is too high at this time for Fusion to consider a return to soccer the game we all love.
